Sad there’s no Princeton Fete

Stanley E. Rosenberg of Princeton
It is sad to learn that for the second year in a row the Princeton hospital June Fete has been canceled. I have been practicing medicine in Princeton for more than 40 years and the June Fete has always been one of the high spots of the year. It was a chance to mingle with my patients, neighbors and friends. It was a chance to eat barbecued chicken prepared by Mr. Nelson from Nelson’s Glass and his lodge. It was a chance for my daughter, when she was a high school teenager, to play “dunk the girl.” It was great fun for everyone.
The Princeton hospital doctors parked the cars. Many members of the auxiliary of the hospital took part in it. The Fete was always a lot of fun. There were many happy events and I am very sad to see that the hospital Fete has been canceled for a second time. I hope that this is not permanent. It would certainly be a loss to the community.
