HIGHTSTOWN Borough police were investigating an attempted sexual assault of a teenage girl as she walked along Bank Street on Tuesday night.
Police said an unidentified assailant grabbed the 16-year-old girl’s body several times as she walked home around 9:40 p.m., then followed her and attempted to push her into bushes at a residence on Mechanic Street.
The man was on a black BMX bicycle, and fled back toward Bank Street as the girl fought him off, police reported.
The girl was not injured in the incident, police added.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male with a dark complexion in his early 20s; about 5-feet-5-inches tall; with a slim build; short, spiky black hair; and dark eyes.
