Monmouth University freshmen Ryan Terry and Nick Pulsonetti were both honored as Freshman All-American by Ping!Baseball. Terry was named Third-Team All-Freshman, while Pulsonetti was tabbed an honorable mention.

The duo, who were each named All- League by the Northeast Conference, also earned Collegiate Baseball/Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American honors earlier this month.

Terry, the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year, Monmouth’s third straight, started 45 games at the hot corner and batted .326 in his freshman campaign. Terry, who was also named Rookie of the Year by the New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association (NJCBA), recorded 58 hits, including 15 doubles and eight home runs, while knocking in 34 runs, and crossing the plate 42 times.

Pulsonetti hit .323 with 54 hits, including 10 doubles, four triples and a team-best 11 round-trippers, the first player to reach double-digit home runs since Jay Law (16) and Jeff Toth (13) in 2001. The team leader in RBIs with 48, Pulsonetti was also added to the NJCBA First Team and First Team All-NEC.

Monmouth, the 2008 Northeast Conference regular season champions, finished the season with a school-record 37 victories and advanced to the league title game for the seventh time in 12 appearances.
