Brookdale’s Shakespeare Ensemble will present eight summer performances of William Shakespeare’s romantic tragedy “Romeo and Juliet.” The performances will be held on the Great Lawn of the Lincroft main campus, 765 Newman Springs Road, on July 10, 11, 12, 17, 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. and July 13 and 20 at 5 p.m. Performances are free.
The classic tale of the ill-fated romance of young lovers Romeo and Juliet who come from feuding families is as relevant today as it was when it was first presented over 400 years ago.
Theatergoers are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets for the evening. In the event of inclement weather, the performance will move indoors. For more information, call the box office at 732-224-2411.
