Thanks for successful Skateboard Jam

To the editor:
On June 21, Hightstown Parks and Recreation Commission held a Skateboard Jam at the Robbinsville Township Skatepark. Robbinsville offered the use of its park since we do not yet have our own. The event was held on National Go Skateboarding Day and served as a fundraiser for the future Hightstown Skatepark. It was a HUGE success, and we want to thank the following companies and people for their generous support:
Chris Merias, (Robbinsville Parks and Rec), (Washington Township Police Department), Patrick Guidotti, (Totally Skateboarding), Wynne and Tom Peskosky, Evelyn McCleod, (Mrs. NJ 2008), Stacey Judge, Marty Judge, Jill Johnson, Amanda Porter, Tricia, (Decked Skate Shop), Lee, (Friendly’s – Robbinsville), Joe Maninno, (Mannino’s 4 Pizzeria), Mike Vanderbeck, (Slowdown Café), Jim, (Jim’s Bagel Loft), Tim Cheek, (Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream and Treatery), (Injeanous Women’s Boutique), Rafeet, (Robbinsville Dunkin’ Donuts), Raj, (East Windsor Dunkin’ Donuts), Charlie Stone, and all of the 40 or so skaters that attended the event.
Please visit our Web site, www.hightstown-skatepark.org, under “Skate Jam 08” and see how much fun we had.
We will continue to raise funds through donations, grants, and by selling decks, shirts and hats. Please see our events page for where to find us, or click on “form” to donate.
Thank you everyone for your continued support.
