Joyce M. Wetstein

Mrs. Wetstein, 72, of the Covered Bridge section of Manalapan and formerly of Old Bridge, died June 26, 2008, at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Township. She was a deputy municipal court clerk in Old Bridge for 14 years before retiring in 2001. Mrs. Wetstein was predeceased by her husband, Martin, in 1982, and her son, James, in 1996. Surviving are four sons and three daughters-in-law, Ben and Brenda of Anchorage, Alaska, William and Linda, Raymond and Donna, and Brian, all of Old Bridge; two daughters, Jean Wetstein of Newport, Vt., and Gail Scarpulla of East Brunswick; four brothers and two sisters-inlaw, James and Marsha Howard of Franklin, N.C., J.R. and Nettie Howard of Old Bridge, Joseph Howard of Old Bridge and Jerrod Howard of Staten Island, N.Y.; three sisters, Joan Murphy Smith of Red Bank, Janet Lynn of Rancho Mirage, Calif., and June Zinno of Staten Island, N.Y.; and 13 grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at Most Holy Redeemer Church in Old Bridge, followed by private interment at Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick. Arrangements were by the Freeman Funeral Home, Manalapan. Memorial donations may be made to the Deborah Hospital Foundation, American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
