    FALL RIVER, Mass. — Alban “Red” Couture died Monday. He was 78.
   He was employed by Texas Instruments in Attleboro, Mass., for many years.
   He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and volunteer at Niagara Senior Center.
   Son of the late Paul and Merilda Levasseur Couture, brother of the late Benoit and Norman Couture and Elizee Couture, Loretta Coderre, Arthur and Romeo Couture and Therese Poliquin, he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margaret Rego Couture; son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Susan Couture of Montgomery; daughters and son-in-law Debra Couture of Fall River and Lauren and Mark Enik of Hawaii; sister Theresa Gutowski; brothers Robert and Peter Couture of Fall River; grandchildren Jessica, Robert, Elizabeth and David; great-grandchildren Saige and Emily; and nieces and nephews.
   The funeral will be 9 a.m. Thursday at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St., Fall River, with a funeral Mass in Good Shepherd Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
   Visiting hours are 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
