John F. Spinosa

Mr. Spinosa, 91, of Manalapan, died Aug. 2, 2008, at The Chelsea at Manalapan. He lived in Jackson and then in Florida for 30 years before moving to Manalapan a year ago. Mr. Spinosa served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and was a salesman for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in Brooklyn, N.Y., before retiring. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; two daughters and a son-in-law, Marilyn and Steven Samskin of Manalapan, and Patricia Miron of Ocala, Fla.; two sisters, Dolores Giaco of Ridgewood, N.Y., and Eleanor DiMaria of East Northport, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery, Long Island City, N.Y. Memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey, 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank, NJ 07701-9978. Arrangements were by the Freeman Funeral Home, Manalapan.
