Health expo at St. Luke’s Church on Sept. 27

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 17 Oak Ave., Metuchen, will host its third annual Body & Soul Health Expo from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. The event is open to the entire community and is free of charge.

The expo will feature a diverse group of traditional and complementary medical and spiritual practitioners who will speak about their specialties and provide hands-on demonstrations, including physicians, nurses, dieticians, chiropractors, veterinarians, physical therapists, tai chi instructors, physical trainers, massage therapists, healing touch practitioners, yoga instructors, reiki practitioners, weight control specialists, psychotherapists, and others. There will be two keynote speakers featured, one before and one after lunch.

St. Luke’s clergy will offer a healing prayer service, including a laying-on of hands. There will also be a meditation session.

ew this year will be the New Jersey

Blood Bank Bloodmobile and a mobile health screening van from Saint Peter’s University Hospital.

A gourmet, healthful lunch will be available for a modest fee, for which reservations are recommended; call the church office at 732-548-4308, ext. 10. Nutritious snacks will be available for purchase throughout the day.
