Joseph Tolve

Mr. Tolve, 91, of Englishtown and formerly of Spotswood, died Aug. 14, 2008, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. He was a selfemployed butcher and a mechanic for New York Department of Parks in Brooklyn, New York, for 30 years before retiring in 1980. Mr. Tolve served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was predeceased by his wife, Clara (Baialardo) Tolve, in 2004, his sisters, Jean Torre, Marie Cavallaro, Eleanor Pucciarelli and Rose Papa, and his brothers, Alfred Tolve and George Tolve. Surviving are a daughter, Carol Apen of Old Bridge; two brothers, John Tolve of Brick and Vincent Tolve of Long Island, N.Y.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood, followed by burial at Holy Cross Burial Park Cemetery in South Brunswick.
