OCEAN TOWNSHIP — A Long Branch man is facing charges for burglarizing at least one vehicle in the area of Sunset and Woodlock avenues.
At approximately 10 p.m. Aug. 17, police received a call in reference to a subject who was seen by a resident trying to enter parked vehicles in the Wanamassa section of the township, according to reports.
Officer John Hanna arrived in the area and found a subject on Sunset Avenue matching the description provided by the resident, according to reports.
Hanna identified the subject as 33-yearold Long Branch resident Seth Thoms and found that the suspect was in possession of a GPS unit, according to police reports.
Upon further investigation, police said they suspect that Thoms had entered one of the parked vehicles in the area and had removed the GPS unit.
Thoms was arrested and charged with burglary, theft and possession of stolen property, according to reports.
He was transported to the Ocean Township Police Department for further processing and was later released on a criminal summons.
