Annie J. Parker

MOUNT HOLLY — Annie J. “Janet” Parker, 89, died Friday at the Mount Holly Center in Mount Holly.
    She was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 455 in New Egypt and was a former member of the New Egypt United Methodist Church.
    She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Howard A. “Doc” Parker Sr. and her son Murell Parker. She is survived by her son, Howard A. Parker Jr. and wife Anne of Tabernacle; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Parker of New Egypt; her grandchildren, Howard A. Parker III and wife Gwen of Roebling, Robin Sue Schaub and husband Greg of Travis AFB, CA and Troy V. Parker and wife Amber of New Egypt; five great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Ruth Thompson of Levittown, Pa. and many nieces and nephews.
    She was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Thompson and two sisters, Sue Cottrell and Erla Lewis.
    Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. today, Thursday, at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main St. in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Interment to follow in the Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown.
