PRINCETON — Betty June Derdak, 82, died Aug. 6 at the Princeton Medical Center in Princeton.
Mrs. Derdak was a housekeeper and a devoted care giver to many. She loved her family, flowers, gardening and her little dog, Pierre.
She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lila Breneman and sister of the late Robert Earl Breneman and James Arthur Breneman. Betty was also predeceased by husbands Elmer V. Clinton of New Brunswick and Joseph Faschetti of Wrightstown. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Derdak of Wichita, Kan.; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty June and Joseph Kucowski Jr. of Chesterfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Karen Clinton of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Lila May Smith of Wichita, Kan. and Norma Josephine O’Brian and husband Harry of Salina, Kan.; six grandchildren, Christopher J. Kucowski and wife Renee of Allentown, Catherine E. Kucowski of Media, Pa., Joseph S. Kucowski III and fiancé Amy Howard of Sargentsville, Sean Mellinger of Portsmouth, Va., Robert Clinton of Terra Haute, Ind. and Lacrisha L. Clinton of Terra Haute, Ind.; a great-granddaughter, Juliana of Allentown, and many nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered as a person who worked hard and beautified the world with flowers from her garden. She was a spirited personality with lovely blue eyes and a contagious smile. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty’s name can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt.
