MANSFIELD — Gale H. (Mac) McDonald, 68, of the Homestead section of Mansfield, died Aug. 5 at Virtua Hospital in Mount Holly.
Born in Iowa and raised in Moorestown, Mr. McDonald lived in Delran before moving to Homestead six years ago. He retired seven years ago as a security supervisor for ADT Security Co. in Pennsauken and was working on a part-time basis as a consultant for the ASI Co. in Montana. He spent most of his working career in the security industry.
He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church of Columbus, the South Jersey Soccer Hall of Fame, the IRU2 Winnebago Camp Club and was a huge college football fan.
He is survived by his wife, June McDonald and his children, Michael (and Cheryl) McDonald of Haddon Township, Brian McDonald of Woodbury,William Heck Jr. of Bensalem, Pa. and Trisha (and William) Marshall of Levittown, Pa. and his grandchildren, Madisyn and Hailey Marshall.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 24572 East Main St., Columbus. Officiating will be the Rev. Ronald Sager, pastor. Private interment will be in the Columbus Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in his memory to the Wesley U.M. Church, PO Box 25, Columbus, NJ 08022. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dennison Funeral Home of Florence.
