Bergen prosecutor arrests Bodall at home

Jamesburg Borough Councilman Thomas Bodall was charged Thurdsay after he was accused of engaging in sexually explicit dialog with someone he believed was a 14-year-old girl and of transmitting photos of his exposed genitals, according to the Bergen County prosecutor’s office.
He was charged with five counts of attempted endangering the welfare of a minor, and two counts of distributing obscene material to a minor and is being held a the Bergen County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail and restrictions on his internet use.
Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said in a press release that Mr. Bodall, 23, was arrested on Thursday by members of the Bergen County prosecutor’s office Computer Crimes Unit after "Mr. Bodall engaged in conversations via the Internet, specifically chat and instant messaging, with what he believed to be a 14-year-old girl" in which he "initiated sexually explicit dialog" and "transmitted pictures of his exposed penis to the presumed child" on several occasions.
A search warrant was executed at his home and he was arrested without incident.
The prosecutor has asked that "anyone whose child spoke online with screen name “capemayfantasy”" contact the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit.
