Mrs. Beattie, 61, of Red Bank, died Aug. 24, 2008, at home. She was a medical technician at Red Bank Gastroenterology, where she was employed for 15 years. She was predeceased by a brother, Michael. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Richard Morgan of Middletown; two sons and daughters-in-law, John W. and Amanda, and William and Kimberly, all of Wall; two brothers, John Gillar of Olyphant, Pa., and Walter Gillar of Red Bank; and eight grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St., Syracuse, NY 13057; or Garden of Dreams Foundation, 2 Pennsylvania Plaza, New York, NY 10121. The Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, was in charge of arrangements.
