A Manville resident was being treated at the Somerset Medical Center Wednesday afternoon, after being struck by a car while riding her bicycle on Route 28 at around 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Juanita Zepeda, 42, no street address available, was struck near the intersection at Morgan Lane, as a vehicle made a right turn onto Route 28 while she was moving east in the westbound shoulder of Route 28.
Sgt. Luke Daley, of the Bridgewater police, said that Ms. Zepeda was transported to Somerset Medical Center for head and other injuries, but that her condition was not life-threatening.
Karen Durfee, 31, of Bridgewater, who was driving the vehicle, had not been charged in the incident, Sgt. Daley said Wednesday.
Ms. Durfee was not injured.
The accident is currently under investigation by Officer Robert Stasiulaitis, of the Bridgewater Traffic Safety Unit.
