Anne F. Hutchinson died on Friday at the University Medical Center at Princeton after a brief illness.
Born in Trenton on Jan. 31, 1926, she lived briefly in Brooklyn, N.Y. and Tuscan, Ariz., before moving to Trenton where she would live until her marriage to T. Coerte Hutchinson in 1949. They resided in Pennington for 59 years.
She graduated from Cathedral High school in Trenton and then went to Trenton State College where she received a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. She taught fifth grade at the Columbus school and the Parkway school in Trenton. After raising her family she went back to teaching at Hopewell Valley Central High School where she was a substitute teacher for 20 years.
She was a member of the Pennington Presbyterian Church and served on the executive board of the Pennington Women’s Club. She was a volunteer at the Pennington Library for 25 years.
Daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Connor Keating, she is survived by her husband of 59 years, T. Coerte Hutchinson; two sons and daughters-in-law, the Rev. Peter C. and Debra Hutchinson of Pottstown, Pa., and Ridgeley G. and Lynn Hutchinson of Lambertville; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Margaret Keating of Grafton, Mass.; six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sept. 13 at 11 a.m. at Pennington Presbyterian Church, 13 S. Main St., Pennington,
Friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
