Ida May Lee

FLORENCE — Ida May Lee, 85, of Wilmington, Del., died Sept. 2 at the Brandywine Nursing Center in Wilmington.
    Born and raised in Burlington, she lived in Florence for 49 years before moving to Delaware nine years ago.
    Mrs. Lee retired in 1996 as a waitress at the Prince Diner in Burlington after more than 25 years of service. She was a member of the First Wesleyan Church of Florence and attended the New Ark Congregational Church while living in Delaware. She enjoyed playing Bingo, visiting Wildwood and Atlantic City and for many years attended the annual Miss America Pageant.
    Wife of the late George W. Lee Sr., she is survived by her son, George W. Lee Jr. of Newark, Del., and a daughter, Sheree (and Kenny) Johansen of Burlington; three grandchildren, Michael Johansen, Denise Hunt and David Johansen; three great-grandchildren, Keith, Chloe and Julian; a sister, Irene Nowoshielski of Willingboro and a brother, Harry (and Elsie) Clapper Jr. of Port St. Lucie, Fla.
    The funeral was held Sunday at the Dennison Funeral Home, Florence. Interment was on Monday at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington. Contributions in her memory may be sent to the First Wesleyan Church, 348 W. Fourth St., Florence, NJ 08518.
