BORDENTOWN – Janet Cremer Lynch, 78, died Sept. 4 at her son’s home after a lengthy illness.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong resident of Bordentown and moved with her husband, John, to their vacation home in the Poconos upon his retirement in 1986. In November of 2007 she and John moved to Fieldsboro to reside with their son, Richard.
She was a graduate of Bordentown High School class of 1948 and attended The School of Arts in Trenton and the Barbizon Modeling School in New York City.
She enjoyed reading, baking, dancing, quilting and playing Scrabble. She enjoyed nature and the simple pleasures of life while living in the Poconos. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her loving family.
Daughter of the late Helen and Henry Cremer, she is survived by her husband of 57 years, John A. Lynch. Also surviving are two sons, John Lynch and wife Linda of Woodbridge, Va., Richard Lynch and wife Lori of Fieldsboro; two daughters, Cynthia Tomlinson and husband Joseph of Langhorne, Pa. and Lisa Clauser and husband John of Bordentown; seven grandchildren, Lt. Shaun Lynch USN and wife Jessica, Lauren Myers and husband Joseph, Kelly Lynch, Joseph Tomlinson and wife Lauren, James Tomlinson, Julie Clauser and Johnny Clauser; and four great-grandchildren, Siena, Isabella and Patrick Lynch and Caitlin Myers. She is survived by three sisters, Claudia Lange and husband Richard of Crosswicks, Elsie Newborn and husband Earl of Roswell, N.M., Delores Johnson of Nokomis, Fla. and a brother Henry Cremer and wife Martha of Columbus; an aunt, Joyce Bruch of Chesterfield; a dear friend, Clair Fasick, of Bordentown and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family wishes to thank all those who provided support and comfort during her long illness. Special thanks to all her caregivers, especially Maria of Virtua Home Care and Adwao of Care Alternatives Hospice. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown.
Interment followed at William Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown.
