William F. Temple

CHESTERFIELD — William F. Temple, 88, of Crosswicks died Monday at his home.
    He was born in Trenton and had resided most of his life in the Crosswicks area. He retired as a pipe fitter with over 35 years of service with United States Steel, American Steel and Wire Division. He was a Navy veteran, serving during World War II. He was a member of the Crosswicks United Methodist Church and was a life member and exempt fireman with the Union Fire Co. No. 1 of Crosswicks. He was also a member of Mt. Moriah Lodge 28, F&AM, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Central Jersey, the Crescent Shrine, where he served in the Provost Guard and the Trenton Forrest 4, Tall Cedars of Lebanon. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 26.
    He is survived by his wife, Louise (Goodenough); a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Kathryn Ann of Chesterfield; grandchildren, Shannon Louise and Atherton Lowry, Molly Kate and Gregory Gwise, Abigayle Brooks and Colin Wayne Temple.
    A Masonic service followed by memorial services will be held Saturday at noon in Trinity United Methodist Church, 339 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown with the Rev. Dr. Edward Conway officiating. Memorials may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 600 Highland Dr. Suite 624, Westampton, NJ 08060.
