Police blotter

   Patrols were called to the Wal-Mart parking lot on North Main Street on Sept. 1, to assist with a vehicle fire.
   The incident was reported at 10:40 p.m., and the fire, which was not serious, was extinguished.
    Christopher E. Polnasek, 50, no address, was taken into custody for outstanding warrants at 4:24 p.m. Sept. 2 for a $141.50 warrant out of Manville, and a $52,989.46 warrant for back-owed child support issued by Somerset County. Mr. Polnasek was transferred to the county for processing.
    A Pennsylvania resident reported at 6:15 p.m. Sept. 12 a Fraternal Order of Police shield had been stolen from his vehicle. The shield is valued at $25, and was entered into the National Crime Information Center database.
    Douglas Gray, 31, of Pope Street, was taken into custody on two outstanding warrants from Hillsborough and Bridgewater municipal courts at 2:47 p.m. Sept. 3.
   Police reported stopping Mr. Gray on North Main Street, believing him to be under the influence of an unknown substance, and found the warrants during processing. Mr. Gray was transported to Somerset Medical Center.
    Yuan Zheng, 44, of Brooklyn, was charged with criminal trespassing at the Adesa Auto Auction on North Main Street on Sept. 4.
   The incident was reported at 11:25 a.m., and Mr. Zheng was released after posting $2,000 bail.
    Michael Serge, 45, no address, was taken into custody at 3:53 a.m. Sept. 5 while on Knopf Street on an outstanding warrant for outstanding child support in the amount of $1,670.
   Mr. Serge was transported to Somerset County Jail following processing.
    At 9:16 a.m. Sept. 5, a North 11th Avenue resident reported that two vehicles parked at his residence were broken into, and change, totaling $11, was taken from the cars.
    Catherine Agrillo, 43, of Dominic Street, was charged with driving while intoxicated at 1:55 p.m. Sept. 5, after an officer stopped her on South Street.
   Police noticed extensive damage on the passenger side of Ms. Agrillo’s vehicle, and damage to five cars that were parked on the street. Police reported seeing Ms. Agrillo’s vehicle undamaged earlier in the day, and, determined that she was intoxicated after a roadside sobriety test.
   Ms. Agrillo was transported to Somerset Medical Center for a blood test, and was released pending a court date.
    A caller reported that her purse was taken from her vehicle while the vehicle was parked outside North Seventh Avenue on Sept. 5.
   The theft was reported at 9:16 p.m. The caller reported that the purse contained $512 in cash, credit cards, a purple wallet, a USB cable, and other assorted items, totaling $750.
    Peter Cramer, 46, of Raritan, was charged with driving while intoxicated after police stopped him on Washington Avenue on Sept. 5. The incident was reported around 10:57 p.m., after a caller on South 13th Street reported seeing a possible drunken driver.
   Mr. Cramer was released pending a court date.
   Lorraine Martine, 47, no known address, was charged in three incidents between July 30 and Aug. 2.
   At 9:46 p.m. July 30, Ms. Martine was charged with disorderly conduct after a caller reported seeing her behind Riccadonna’s Home Improvements on South Main Street. Ms. Martine was issued a summons and released.
   She was charged with trespassing at 1:55 p.m. Aug. 1, after police received a complaint from a Drewby’s Grill Pub employee about someone behind the restaurant. Ms. Martine was turned over to Somerset County Jail after processing on that charge.
   And at 8:01 p.m. Aug. 2, Ms. Martine was charged with violating the borough’s open container law and criminal trespassing on South Third Avenue.
   Ms. Martine was transported to Somerset Medical Center after processing.
   A Louise Drive resident reported the theft of a 1999 Acura two-door car at 8:47 p.m. Aug. 21, that was last seen at 9 a.m. that day.
   The victim reported discovering the car was missing at 7:15 p.m., and suspected that it was taken by a family member.
   The car is valued at $5,000.
