West Windsor
   Joel Itzcovitz, 27, of Parlin was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and improper maintenance of lamps following a traffic stop at 1:28 a.m. Tuesday on Route 1 north at Harrison Street. After stopping Mr. Itzcovitz’s car for having a license plate light out the odor of burnt marijuana was detected, according to police, who said they searched and found a small amount of the drug.
   Walter Curtis, 19, of Robbinsville was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and improper maintenance of lamps following a traffic stop at Quakerbridge Road and Village Road at 12:20 a.m. Wednesday. After stopping Mr. Curtis’ car for having a headlight out, police reported that Mr. Curtis consented to a search that resulted in the discovery of marijuana inside the vehicle.
   Jakub Strak, 25, of Lawrence was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and improper maintenance of lamps following a traffic stop at Quakerbridge Road and Route 1 at 12:37 a.m. Thursday. After pulling Mr. Strak’s vehicle over for having a non-functioning license plate light, police said they received consent to search Mr. Strak’s vehicle and discovered marijuana in the car.
   Someone stole a Navigon 2100 GPS unit valued at $150 and a pair of Oakley sunglasses valued at $75 from a 1993 Acura parked curbside at a Hamilton Drive residence. The items were taken from the unlocked car sometime between 11 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.
   Duane Martz, 70, of West Windsor was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and improper maintenance of lamps following a traffic stop on Clarksville Road in front of Maurice Hawk Elementary School at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday. Police said they stopped Mr. Martz’s car for having a rear taillight out and found the driver to be intoxicated.

   Abdul H. Tani, 22, of Lawrence was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while under the influence of a controlled and dangerous substance, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Route 1 south at 9:27 p.m. on Sept. 1. Police said they stopped Mr. Tani’s vehicle for swerving and detected the smell of burnt marijuana and began to search the vehicle. Found inside the vehicle was a partially burned marijuana cigar and two unused cigars, according to police.
