Graduate of Montgomery High School
PHOENIX — Donna Rosalie Bodnar, 45, died on Aug. 6.
Born in Queens, N.Y., she resided in Phoenix after having lived in New Jersey, Florida and Georgia.
She was a graduate of Montgomery High School and worked in the food service industry. She enjoyed traveling, arts and crafts, scrapbooking, gardening, photography, sewing and cooking and baking.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Marion C. Horvath and Milan Horvath; an uncle, George C. Cerny Jr.; a brother and his wife, Frank and Janet Bodnar, and nephews, Justin and Kyle; her grandmother, Pauline Horvath, all of New Jersey; a sister, Marian S. Bodnar of Pennsylvania; and a brother and his wife, Rudy and Eija Bodnar, and two nieces, Denisa and Sherin, of Arizona.
Ms. Bodnar was preceded in death by her father, Rudolf Bodnar, and grandparents George and Beatrice Cerny.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Raritan, N.J. A private burial will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Millstone, with immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) or any animal shelter of the donor’s choice.
