BERKELEY Jacqueline D. Urbish, 74, of the Holiday City West section of Berkeley Township, died Monday at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, Hamilton.
Born in Llondovery, South Wales, U.K., she came to the United States in 1953 to marry her husband, Frederick. They lived in Perth Amboy, before moving to Berkeley Township in 1991.
She was a bookkeeper at Bankers Savings in Perth Amboy. She also was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe Roman Catholic Church, Berkeley Township, where she was a member of the church’s choir. She also was a past member of the Holiday City West Variety Club, Women’s Club and the Bocce Club.
She enjoyed playing Bingo at the Holiday City West Clubhouse.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Frederick Urbish; son Stephen Urbish, who works for Packet Publications, and wife Jacqueline of Columbus; daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Steve Bekesy of Port Reading; grandchildren Brian, Amy and Paul Urbish and Emma and Sara Bekesy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Maximilian Kolbe Roman Catholic Church, Berkeley Township. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, Pa.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
