Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County, 1775 Oak Tree Road, Edison, is sponsoring the following programs:
• 1-4 p.m. Sept 22 — a jewelry-making workshop with artist Mara Levine. Each participant will choose from a wide selection of gemstones, crystals, silver and gold-filled materials to create their own piece of jewelry. Registration is $10 for members and $12 for nonmembers. Additional material fees will be paid directly to Ms. Levine. Preregistration is required; space is limited.
• Sept. 22 and Oct 27 — monthly trips to Showboat Casino sponsored by the Senior Adult Club of the JCC. The cost is $25 per person for the September trip, with a return of $25 and a $5 food voucher; and $26 per person for the October trip. Returns vary each month. The bus departs at 8:45 a.m. and will return at approximately 7 p.m. For further information, contact Sue Horwitz or Jody Mantel 732-494-3232.
• Wednesdays during September — duplicate bridge. Fees are $6 for members, $7 for nonmembers. Come alone or with a partner.
• Nov. 9 — a trip to the Jewish Museum in Manhattan. Museum fee, guided tour of the special exhibit “Chagall and the Artists of the Russian Jewish Theater, 1919-1949” and roundtrip transportation; the cost is $57 for members and $62 for nonmembers. Lunch is on your own. The bus will leave at 9:30 a.m. Tickets are limited and registration is required.
