John S. Possert

   FLORENCE — John S. Possert, 78, of Roebling, died Sept. 6 in Virtua Memorial Hospital of Burlington County, Mount Holly.
   Mr. Possert was born in Roebling, he was the son of the late Frank and Katherine Fless Possert. He resided in Roebling lifelong.
   He was a retired carpenter, employed by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Local 1489, Burlington with 50 years of service. He was a US Army Veteran of Korea.
   Mr. Possert was a member of the Opre Larson VFW Post 8838, Roebling and United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Local 1489, Burlington.
   Predeceased by his siblings, Joseph Baer, Katherine Wargo, Eva George, Peter and Frank Possert, Mary Hope and Theresa DiPaola, he is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and a dear friend of many years, Madeline Gusz of Ewing.
   Interment will be today, Thursday, at 1 p.m. in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, North Hanover Township. Friends may call Thursday from 11 a.m. until cemetery departure at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling.
   In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to the Associated Humane Society 124 Evergreen Ave. Newark, NJ 07114-2133, SPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice.
