Ella Jean Maxwell of Hightstown died Sunday at Meadow Lakes. She was 89.
Born in Hinton, W.Va., she lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Texas and New Jersey.
She attended Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
She held a variety of professional positions, finally retiring from the Brevard County School System, Palm Bay, Fla., where she had worked as a bookkeeper.
She was an active member of the Walnut Creek Baptist Church in Austin, Texas, for 25 years.
The daughter of the late William Henry and Ella Weeks, she was the widow of the late Robert W. Maxwell Sr.
She is survived by her children, Robert W. Maxwell Jr. and his wife, Marybeth, of Corpus Christi, Texas; Roberta Kaplan and her husband, Leon, of Princeton; Bruce Maxwell of Georgetown, Texas; and Richard Maxwell and his wife, Susie, of Soldotna, Alk.; her grandchildren and their spouses, David and Johnna Maxwell, Gregg and Monica Maxwell, Rick and Nina Maxwell, Christopher Maxwell, Dana and Adam Drake, Justin Kaplan, Jeffery Kaplan; and great-grandson Owen Drake.
The funeral and burial will take place in Austin, Texas.
