CHEER/GYMNASTICS
   A Cheer/Gymnastics Clinic will be held Nov. 6-7 at Montgomery High School for children in grades 1-8. Campers will divide their days learning the skills and techniques of a gymnast with cheers, dances and stunts of a cheerleader. Children of all abilities and experiences are welcome. Emphasis will be based more on fun game play than skill development.
   The program runs from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day and participants should bring a bagged lunch and water. Snacks will be provided. The instructors will be Johanna Snedeker, head gymnastics coach at Montgomery High, Christina Venetucci, physical education co-advisor, and members of the Class of 2011. The event will be a fundraiser for the Class of 2011. The cost is $120.

JUGGLING PROGRAM
   The Princeton Recreation Department and Juggling Life are teaming up to offer juggling instruction beginning Oct. 7. There will be weekly classes for beginner jugglers as well as for intermediate jugglers. The program is open to interested Princeton Township and Borough residents ages nine and older. There will be one class per week for six weeks.
   The beginner classes will meet on Tuesday nights from 7-8 p.m. and the intermediate class will meet on Tuesdays from 8-9 p.m. All classes will take place in the lower level conference room at the Princeton Recreation Department. The cost is $35 per person.
   Space is limited in both classes and registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration forms can be downloaded from the Princeton Recreation Department website or picked up at the office, located at 380 Witherspoon Street.

WW-PBA HOOPS
   The West Windsor-Plainsboro Basketball Association will be holding open registrations for all of its leagues (Grades 3-12) on Tuesday, Sept. 23 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the West Windsor Municipal Building — Room A, on Clarksville Road in West Windsor. There will be an additional registration on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Plainsboro Municipal Building (Police entrance) — Room D, on Plainsboro Road in Plainsboro.
   Coaches are needed for all age groups, as the commitment is a one hour game on Saturdays, and a one hour weeknight practice (grades 5-12), and a 90 minute commitment on Saturdays (grades 3-4). The program is open to any child who wants to play basketball.

PLATFORM TENNIS
   The Princeton Recreation is beginning its 37th platform tennis season this fall. The department offers four lighted platform tennis courts for the community’s enjoyment. The courts are located in Community Park South and are accessible by parking in the pool/municipal lot on Witherspoon Street.
   The Princeton Recreation Department will be offering Beginner/Refresher Clinics for Platform Tennis. With the Platform Tennis season rapidly approaching, the department will be offering evening clinics on Oct. 6, 7, 20 and 21 at 7 p.m. at the platform tennis complex. If you are interested in learning about the game please contact the Recreation Office to register. The clinics are free.
   Open play and league memberships are available at different prices. Family memberships are available as well as individual memberships. The lit courts are coin meter operated. The Recreation Department has equipment that can be borrowed and offers sale of platform tennis balls.

PAWS WRESTLING
   The Princeton Recreation Department is now accepting registration for the PAWS and Tiger Cubs Youth Wrestling programs. Princeton Amateur Wrestling Society (PAWS) is a combination of instruction and match competition that takes place at Jadwin Gymnasium at Princeton University. Practice takes place two nights per week as well on some Saturdays early in the season. PAWS is open to boys and girls in grades 3-8. The program is open to interested participants of all skill levels and beginners are welcome.
   The Tiger Cubs program is an introductory wrestling program for kids in grades K – 2. The program will meet on Saturday mornings beginning Nov. 15 at Jadwin Gym. The coaching staff will emphasize the importance of stretching, physical fitness and following instructions. One wrestling concept will be introduced each week. Competition will be de-emphasized in the Tiger Cubs program.

LACROSSE CLINIC
   The Bobby Campbell Lacrosse Foundation is holding its annual Campbell Lacrosse Clinic, a free lacrosse clinic for boys and girls in grades 3-9, on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. until noon at Princeton High School.
   The clinic is open to all skill levels and will feature basic skills, offensive and defensive skills, position-specific coaching, game concepts, fastest shot contest and an obstacle course. Players must be in good physical condition and have their own equipment (including mouthpiece) to participate. Clinic instruction will be from experienced lacrosse players and coaches, including college, high school and post-collegiate players.

   The Bobby Campbell Lacrosse Foundation was established in 1999 to support and promote lacrosse in Central New Jersey in honor of Princeton native Bob Campbell, who died in a car accident in April 1999. He was a former head lacrosse coach at Princeton High School, as well as a top-caliber lacrosse player for Princeton High School and Penn State.

MONTY GOLF OUTING
   The 2008 Monty Cup Golf Outing will be held Monday, Oct. 13 at the Cherry Valley Country Club. The day begins with registration, a BBQ lunch, and the driving range open from 11 a.m. until noon. Golf begins with a shotgun start at noon. The golf is a scramble format.
   From 5-7 p.m. there will be an awards reception. All alumni, parents, friends, and members of the community are welcome. The cost for a foursome is $700. A foursome under 21 is $400. The fee for an individual golfer is $175 and $100 for players under 21.
   A hole sponsorship is $150, a cocktail and dinner sponsorship is $250, a beverage station sponsorship is $500, and general sponsorships are $25, $50 and $75. Proceeds go toward the Alumni Scholarship Fund and several school programs.

MONTGOMERY FENCING
   The Montgomery Recreation Department will be offering fencing classes for all ages this fall. There is a class for all ability levels. The classes will be offered on Thursdays through Nov. 20. There will be no class on Oct. 9 or Nov. 6.
   Classes for beginners (ages 8-11) will be held from 7-8 p.m. Intermediate classes for ages 12-13 will be held from 7-8 p.m. Adult Electric classes for ages 14-and-older will be held from 8-9 p.m.
   Classes will be held at the Otto Kaufman Community Center. Instructors will be Marcos and Ivanka Lucchetti, from Lucchetti Fencing, LLC. The cost is $240 per class with borrowed equipment and $210 per class if you have your own equipment. Equipment can be purchased from the instructors.

PSA REC SOCCER
   Go! Princeton Soccer is a recreational program for players ages under-5 to under-15. The program features small-sided games that result in more playing time, more touches on the ball, and more fun. Players of all ability levels are welcome and there are no tryouts.
   The Go! Princeton Soccer Recreational Program will continue each Saturday until Nov. 15. The U-5 through U-11 programs will be held at Community Park and the U-12 through U-15 Middle School Program will be held at Farm View Field.

PSA TRAVEL ACADEMY
   The Princeton Soccer Association Travel Development Academy is a cutting edge program that features small-sided games that results in more playing time, more touches on the ball, and more fun.
   The TDA Program will continue until Nov. 15. Training will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays for the boys academy and Tuesdays and Thursdays for the girls academy.

ELITE THROWING
   The Elite Throwing and Development training is geared to help get throwers arms ready for the spring season. The training program can help generate more velocity and greater distance on throws. No matter the sport, no matter the age group, the program is designed to help.

MONTGOMERY SOCCER
   Registration is now open for the MTSC Youth Development Program for the fall 2008 season. This soccer program is available to youth 5-9 years of age, regardless of skill level or experience.
   Professional trainers and trained volunteers guide players through a curriculum that emphasizes development over winning, player time on the ball and small-sided games as a teaching approach. Optional travel is offered to older players.

PSS SOCCER
   Princeton Special Sports is now registering players for its fall soccer program. PSS provides youth sports programs to special needs children ages 4 through high school. PSS Soccer plays on Sundays from 1:30-3 p.m. at Farmview Fields off The Great Road in Princeton through Nov. 9. The season fee is $50.
