George D. Johnstone

   George D. Johnstone, 79, died Saturday at Kindred Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa.
   Born in Trenton, Mr. Johnstone had been a resident of Pennington for 57 years.
   He was a maintenance mechanic for 28 years with Cointreau Ltd. and also worked for Kooltronic for 11 years retiring in 1998.
   He served in the United States Army in Japan and Korea.
   Mr. Johnstone was a former assistant fire chief and exempt fireman for Pennington Fire Company and a member of the F&AM Masonic Lodge of Hopewell, now Amwell Lodge.
   Preceded in death by his parents George and Rachel Johnstone, sister Dorothy L. Martin, and brothers Donald J. Johnstone, he is survived by his wife JoBetty Sked Johnstone; children Patricia M. Johnstone of Flemington and Charles G. Johnstone of Ewing; and brother David A. Johnstone.
   Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday at the Cromwell-Immordino Memorial Home, 71 E. Prospect St., Hopewell.
   Interment will follow in Pennington Cemetery.
   Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of services.
