Princeton Borough
Kristy Dawn Us, 28, of Trenton was charged with contempt of court Sept. 15 for having active warrants from Lawrence Township Municipal Court, Hamilton Township Municipal Court and Robbinsville Municipal Court with a total cash bail of $4,542, police reported. She was taken into custody following a motor vehicle stop on South Tulane Street. Ms. Us was transported to police headquarters and committed in default of bail, police said.
Donna Marie McGrath, 50, of Philadelphia was charged with contempt of court Wednesday for an active warrant out of Sayreville Township Municipal Court with a $215 cash bail. She was taken into custody following a motor vehicle stop on Charlton Street. She was transported to police headquarters and released on bail, police said.
Vittal Kadapakkam, 19, of San Antonio, Texas, was charged about 9:11 p.m. Thursday with hindering apprehension for providing a false date of birth to a police officer on Witherspoon Street, police said. He was transported to police headquarters and later released.
Princeton Township
A 16-year-old Princeton High School student sustained a skull fracture and abrasions to his elbow after he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle on Franklin Avenue near Tee-Ar Place about 3:25 p.m. Thursday. Police said the boy was struck by a 2004 Honda Accord driven by Norman Freeberg, 77, of Leabrook Lane after the bicyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, rode in front of the car. The youth was admitted to University Medical Center at Princeton for observation, police said. No charges have been filed pending the completion of the investigation, police said Monday.
Jarrod R. Simpson, 22, of Sassafras Row was arrested at his home at 9:07 p.m. Wednesday for having a $250 warrant out of Princeton Borough, police said. The accused was later released after posting bail.
Malcolm Thompson, 41, of Mulberry Row was arrested at his home at 8:44 p.m. Wednesday for having an outstanding warrant, police said. He was released after posting bail.
West Windsor
Nicole C. Ohare and Anna Marcinkiewicz, both 19 and of Hamilton, were charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams following a traffic stop on Quakerbridge Road at Avalon Way at 1:44 a.m. Saturday, after police said they saw a vehicle with heavily tinted windows driving erratically. Police searched the vehicle after detecting the odor of burned marijuana and located the drug, according to the report. The driver was not charged after Ms. Ohare and Ms. Marcinkiewicz took ownership of the drug, according to police. Ms. Ohare, the owner of the vehicle, was also charged with possession of a controlled and dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.
Someone scratched the exterior of a 1996 Jeep Cherokee and punctured three of the vehicles tires while it was parked near the Best Buy store in the Nassau Park shopping center between 2 and 4 p.m. Sunday. The owner of the vehicle was a Trenton resident.
Someone stole a $300 lawn ornament from a Clarksville Road residence between Sept. 7 and Saturday, police reported. The ornament was in the form of a little boy sitting on a rock with a bamboo fishing pole.
Someone broke into a residence in the Avalon Watch development between 12:30 and 9:25 p.m. Sunday and stole a laptop computer valued at $1,000.
Plainsboro
A former employee of the CVS pharmacy on Schalks Crossing Road attempted to obtain prescription drugs from the store by pretending to be a current employee and using the store’s Drug Enforcement Administration number for verification purposes, police said. An investigation of the incident, which occurred between 8 and 8:30 a.m. Thursday, is continuing, police said.
