Naomi Chilton

   Naomi Chilton of Lawrence died Sept. 18. She was 84.
   She and her husband were founding members of the Abrams Hebrew Academy and strong supporters of Adath Israel Congregation.
   She was an avid gardener, weaver and calligrapher.
   Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she was daughter of the late Bernard and Jessica Goldstone Alexander and wife of the late Dr. Neal Chilton, a dentist, whom she married in 1947.
   She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Peninah and Albert Berdugo of Wyncote, Pa.; Abigal Chilton and Albert Coleman of West Hills, Calif. and Miriam Chilton and Joel Dorow of Montclair; sons and daughters-in-law Dr. Jonathan and Ellen Chilton of Leawood, Kan. and Seth and Robin Chilton of West Orange; brother Daniel Alexander of Yardley, Pa.; sister Ruth Sugerman of Lawrence; and grandchildren Alexander, Michal, Liat, Ilana, Noah, Daniel, Jonah, Hannah, Adam, Oliva, Shaina, Sam and Eli.
       The funeral and burial were Friday.

   The period of mourning will be held at the Chilton residence in Lawrence.
   Arrangements are by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing.
