POLICE BEAT: From the Sept. 25 edition

Bordentown City
    Samir Farraj, 43, of Trenton, was charged Friday with possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they stopped him at 2:10 a.m. on Route 130/206 after noticing he had no rear license plate or temporary registration displayed.
    Police said he was wanted on a warrant from Trenton and that police found a glass smoking pipe with a burned crystallized residue suspected to be crack cocaine. His vehicle was towed until it could be properly registered, police said. He was turned over to Trenton police. 
    Police are investigating the burglary of a residence on the 100 block of Prince Street, which was entered at 7:45 p.m. Sept. 18 while the occupants were out. Jewelry valued at nearly $3,000 was reported missing from the house.
    Florence
    Amy R. Patel, 25, of Columbus, was charged Saturday with possession of marijuana and being parked in front of a fire hydrant. Whitney E. Mercantini, 20, of Florence was charged at the same time with underage possession of alcohol, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of prescription drugs.
    Police said they stopped the two at 1:13 a.m. at Hornberger Avenue and Alden Street for being parked in front of a fire hydrant, and found that the driver, Ms. Patel, had what police believed to be marijuana on her. Ms. Mercantini, in the front seat, had alcohol, prescription drugs and a controlled dangerous substance, police reported. Ms. Patel was released on her own recognizance, and Ms. Mercantini was released after posting 10 percent of $2,500 bail.
    Louis N. Daloisio III, 23, of Burlington, was charged Sept. 16 with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession with intent to distribute.
    Police said Mr. Daloisio was charged at the station after police received test results from evidence seized during an investigation into a charge of driving while intoxicated lodged against Mr. Daloisio on July 26. He was released pending a court appearance.
    Mansfield
    Fredy E. Perez, 35, of Bordentown, was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane.
    Police said they stopped Mr. Perez at 2:39 a.m. on Old York Road for failing to maintain his lane of travel. Police reported smelling alcohol, and said Mr. Perez failed subsequent field sobriety tests. He was released to his wife.
