BIBLIOPHILIA!

The Friends of the Princeton Public Library Annual Book Sale, which will take place Oct. 3 through 5, will feature books of special interest from the libraries of James Harford, author and authority on the history of the Russian space program; James Hillier, physicist and inventor, and playwright William McCleery. An especially strong selection of books on music, primarily classical, will be complemented by a varied selection of classical LPs, including some rarities.
Stuart Mitchner, book sale director for more than 20 years, said this year’s sale offers an especially broad spectrum of fiction and nonfiction, along with an outstanding selection of books for children.
Paperbacks, softcover and hardcover books are priced from $1 to $20, with special selections and collectibles higher. All sale proceeds go to the library for the purchase of new books and audio and video materials.
The sale will be held in the Community Room on the first floor of the library at 65 Witherspoon St., opening with a Preview Sale on Friday, Oct. 3, from noon to 2. Admission to the Preview Sale is free to members of the Friends; non- members will be charged $10. Numbered admission tickets will be available outside the Community Room starting at 10 a.m. on Preview Sale Day.
Admission is free from 2 to 5:30 on Friday and for the remainder of the sale: Saturday, Oct. 4, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Sunday, from 1 to 5:30 p.m., the Annual Half Price Sale.
