Some Central High Homecoming events postponed

Because of rain today (Friday), the parade and carnival will be held Oct. 4

   Due to rain, two Hopewell Valley Central High School Homecoming events have been postponed until Oct. 4.
   — Today’s Student Council Parade, which was set for 5:45 p.m., has been changed to 1:15 p.m. Oct. 4. On that day, parade participates will march down Dublin Road and finish up on South Timberlane Drive between CHS and Timberlane Middle School.
   — The fundraising carnival also has been reset for Oct. 4.
   Other events will be held as scheduled:
   — The second annual “Under the Lights” football game will begin at 7 p.m. today on the home field behind Timberlane. Tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for students. Tickets will be available tonight.
   — The pancake and egg breakfast will be served in the CHS cafeteria on Saturday from 8:30-11 a.m. The cost of this event is $5.
   — The athletic schedule for Saturday is:
   Noon, Varsity Girls Field Hockey vs. Moorestown High School (JV to follow).
   Noon, Varsity and JV Boys Soccer vs. Lawrence (JV game will be held at TMS).
   2 p.m., Varsity and JV Girls Soccer vs. PDS (JV game will be at TMS).
   — The annual Homecoming Semi-Formal Dance for all HVCHS students will be held in the high school cafeteria from 8-11 p.m.
