Americo J. Mazzoni, 96, of Hamilton Township, died Sept. 22 at his home.
He was born in Wishaw, Pa. and had resided in this area for most of his life. A World War II Army veteran, he had retired from Congoleum-Nairn of Hamilton Township where he was employed as a boiler operator-engineer. He was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows – St. Anthony Parish.
The father of the late Robert V. Mazzoni, he is survived by his wife, Rose Theresa (Ramazzotti); a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Mary Brennan Mazzoni of Chesterfield; two sisters, Edith Natter and Levia Martinetti, both of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Robert, Rudolph, Siobhan and Bridget and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday at the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows. Interment was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. There will be no formal calling hours. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
