Carol C. Laudenberger

   HIGHTSTOWN — Carol C. Laudenberger, 96, died in her home at Meadow Lakes on Sept. 26.
   Raised in Idaho, she came east in the late 1930s and settled in New Jersey, living in Westfield for close to 50 years.
   Mrs. Laudenberger received a bachelor’s of science degree in home economics in 1934 from Utah State University and worked as a home economist for the Idaho Power Company. In 1942 she graduated from Columbia University with a master’s of arts degree and worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Elizabeth and Toms River.
   She was a member of AAUW, the Westfield Women’s Club, a creative writing group, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Westfield Congregational Church.
   She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John; son John and his wife, Nancy, of Hightstown; daughter Lynn and husband Craig Whittekiend of Lakewood, Col.; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
   A memorial service will be held at Meadow Lakes at 3 p.m. Saturday.
   Arrangements are being handled by the Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, Hightstown.
