Frances Hemberger
SOLEBURY — Frances Hemberger, 88, died Sunday, Oct. 5, at Neshaminy Manor Nursing Home in Warrington.
Born in Brooklyn, Mrs. Hemberger had lived in the New Hope-Solebury area for the past 25 years.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Doylestown.
She served in the Army during World War II as a registered nurse in a MASH unit.
She retired after 35 years from Mercy Hospital in Rockville Center, N.Y., as an obstetrics nurse.
She was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Wall O’Dea and widow of Charles G. Hemberger.
Surviving are one son, Chuck Hemberger of Yardley, Pa.; five daughters, Susan O’Brien of West Nyack, N.Y., Judith Holloway of New Hope, Amy Luccaro of Solebury, Laura Henshaw of Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y., and Lisa Stout of Perkasie, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held today (Thursday) at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic in Lambertville. Burial will follow in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.
