Organizer thanks festival participants

Mary Barnes, President, Downtown Bordentown Association
To the editor:
It is with great pleasure that I write this letter to thank all those who assisted in the making of what most people are calling the best Cranberry Festival ever! What a great weekend for Bordentown City!
Our most sincere thank you to Jackie Reed and Patti DeSantis for working all year long to make the weekend a success. Their dedication to the festival and the city should be commended by all of us. I truly believe that it would be very difficult if not impossible to have such a successful weekend if it weren’t for these two women. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
The city police, under the direction of Chief (Matthew) Simmons, were there when needed throughout the weekend and their presence was very much appreciated.
A big thanks to all the guys from the city works department; without their efforts before, during and after the festival it just wouldn’t be the same.
Finally, a heartfelt thank you to the city commissioners who worked with the Downtown Bordentown Association throughout the year to make the festival successful.
Lastly, thanks to the wonderful residents of this city who support and help in so many ways, especially when welcoming other people to our town in a helpful and friendly manner which encourages their return to our constantly growing downtown district.
