Lambertville
Christopher Journigan, 37, of Trenton was arrested Oct. 8 at 11:45 a.m. at Trenton police headquarters on a warrant for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
He was taken to the Hunterdon County Jail in lieu of $521 bail.
Sept. 27 at 8:16 a.m., Benjamin Yannarella, 78, told police that the day before at 5:14 p.m., a man wanted to buy an old white chair in the shape of a hand that was tied to a ladder in his yard.
Mr. Yannarella said it wasn’t for sale.
The following day, Mr. Yannarella said there was a white envelope by his front door containing $40 and a note saying it was for the chair, which was missing.
William Bolash reported Oct. 5 at 12:45 p.m. that his 1994 BMW’s windshield was broken.
He told police he heard a noise outside at 2:45 a.m. and that was when he found the windshield was broken.
Police said there were footprints leading from one end of the vehicle to the other, and when someone stepped on the windshield, there was a spider web shape.
Martha Knechel of Brunswick Avenue reported Oct. 4 at about 5:40 p.m. that her wallet had been stolen from her purse at the Lambertville Public Library, where she works.
Some of the contents of her wallet were found later on South Main Street, police said.
New Hope
Sept. 18 at 1:36 a.m., Megan Loos, 24, of Doylestown was charged with drunken driving after she was observed operating her vehicle in an unlawful manner in the area of Bridge and Main street.
West Amwell
Sept. 30 at approximately 10:25 a.m., John McKee, 50, of Trenton was arrested on two warrants.
Mr. McKee was stopped on Route 31 because of an obstructed license plate.
Mr. McKee had two warrants issued by Ewing Township for $500 and Trenton for $81.
Mr. McKee was released by both courts.
West Amwell police charged Mr. McKee with having an obstructed license plate and driving while suspended.
Oct. 1 at approximately 8:51 a.m., police were called to the Educational Services School on Route 179 on a report of a teacher being verbally threatened by a student.
Police arrested a 16-year-old male juvenile and charged him with one count of terroristic threats. He was released back to school officials pending an appearance in juvenile court.
Oct. 2 at approximately 8:27 a.m., there was a three-car crash on Route 31 near the intersection of Linvale-Harbourton Road.
Michelle Stanbo, 25, of Lebanon was going south on Route 31 and was stopped for a traffic light. Erica Marrone, 27, of Flemington was the third vehicle in line.
Ms Marrone did not see Michael Oliveras, 37, of Milford, who was in front of her vehicle, slow down and hit the rear of Mr. Oliveras’ vehicle.
Mr. Oliveras’ vehicle then hit the rear of Ms. Stanbo’s car.
Ms. Marrone was taken by the Amwell Valley Rescue Squad to Hunterdon Medical Center on a complaint of neck pain.
Mr. Oliveras and Ms. Stanbo refused medical treatment.
Ms. Stanbo’s vehicle was towed.
Police charged Ms. Marrone with careless driving.
Friday at approximately 7:36 a.m., police, volunteers from the Amwell Valley Rescue Squad and paramedics from Hunterdon Medical Center were called to the Quick Chek store on Route 31 for a report of an unresponsive female in a vehicle.
Kim Merk, 42, of Hopewell Township was found in her car and was awake when emergency crews arrived.
Ms. Merk was checked and refused treatment.
Ms. Merk was charged with drunken driving and careless driving and released.
Friday at approximately 4:44 p.m., police stopped Shawn Jones, 18, of Titusville for doing 81 mph in a posted 50-mph zone on Route 179 near Old York Road.
Mr. also was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding, reckless driving, two counts of passing in a no passing zone and driving while suspended.
He was released without bail.
