Saint Peter’s University Hospital, in partnership with the Wellness Community of Central New Jersey, will present “From Diagnosis through Treatment: The Role Patients Play in Improving their Breast Cancer Treatments.” This educational seminar will be held 5:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 15 in the Sister Marie de Pazzi Conference Center at Saint Peter’s University Hospital, 254 Easton Ave., New Brunswick. A panel of cancer specialists will discuss the latest breakthroughs in medications and therapies, made possible because women with breast cancer have participated in clinical research studies in record numbers. The result of their participation and consequent advances in treatment is that survival rates for breast cancer have dramatically increased.
The program is free, but pre-registration is requested by calling Diane Braen at 732-745-8600, ext. 5073. Arrive at 5 p.m. to register. There is a $3 parking fee upon entrance to Saint Peter’s parking deck.
