EAST WINDSOR — A head-on collision between a motorcycle and a sport utility vehicle at Route 33 and the Hickory Corner Road Extension killed an area man Wednesday.
Police said that at 4:05 p.m. Brian Pedone, 34, of Robbinsville, was riding a Harley-Davison motorcycle eastbound on Route 33, while John J. Septak IV, 27, of Monroe, was making a left turn from the Hickory Corner Road Extension in his Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The two vehicles collided when Mr. Pedone entered the intersection, and the crash threw him from the bike, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr. Septak was not injured, according to police.
The accident remained under investigation by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Serious Collision Investigative Unit, spokeswoman Casey DeBlasio said Thursday.
No charges had been filed.
