BORDENTOWN William E. Hamilton, 82, died Oct. 1 in Capital Health System at Mercer.
Born in Fieldsboro, he lived in the Bordentown area all of his life and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bordentown for more than 60 years. He also was active in the Bordentown Youth Leagues and the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of the YMCA Indian Guides.
He retired from RCA in Hightstown with more than 35 years of service as an electronics technician.
Mr. Hamilton was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mae (Bowker) Hamilton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Eric William and Kathleen Hamilton of Hamilton and David Hamilton of Bordentown; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Hamilton and Lisa and Jim Hudik, all of Bordentown; grandchildren Matthew, Jeffrey, Kaitlin, Ryan and Colin Hamilton and Breanna, Brandon, Brady and Brielle Hudik; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held in the First Presbyterian Church, Bordentown. Interment followed in the Bordentown Cemetery.
