Princeton Borough 
   Mahdi Hedhli, 26, of Jersey City was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Nassau Street about 12:20 a.m. Sunday.
   Ramon Basie, 20, of Race Street was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Olden Street about 6:58 a.m. Sunday. He was also charged with being a minor in possession of an alcoholic beverage.
   Peter J. Martin, 26, of East Windsor was charged with driving while intoxicated after police stopped his car on Washington Road about 2:18 a.m. Sunday.
   Herman McKoy, 27, of Charlotte, N.C., was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on John Street about 2:25 a.m. Saturday.
   Elena Magilton, 41, of Lawrence was charged with contempt of court following a pedestrian stop on Nassau Street about 11:25 a.m. Sunday. Police said municipal courts in Princeton Borough and Lawrence had issued warrants with a total cash bail of $2,600. She was later released on bail.
   Kenya Murphy, 27, of Trenton was charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Nassau Street about 3:15 p.m. Oct. 3. Princeton Borough Municipal Court issued an arrest warrant with a cash bail of $500, police said. She was later released pending a court appearance.
   Someone entered an unlocked dormitory room at Princeton University’s Henry Hall off University Place and stole four laptop computers and other electronic items, between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Princeton University Public Safety officers reported.
Montgomery 
   Catherine A. Merz, 34, of Newton was charged with careless driving after a three-car crash on Route 206 at Covert Drive on Monday morning. She was driving a 2003 Kia south when her car struck the rear of a 2008 Hyundai, driven by Sung N. Shim, 48, of Liverpool, N.Y., that was stopped in front of her, police said. The impact of the collision forced the Hyundai into the rear of a 2007 Volvo driven by Judith Johnson, 48, of Montgomery. No injuries were reported at the scene.
   Carol Heffler, 58, of Lambertville was issued a summons for careless driving Monday morning after a collision on Route 518 near Province Line Road. Ms. Heffler was eastbound in a 2000 Honda when she lost control of her vehicle, police said. Her car crossed into the westbound lane and struck a 2002 Buick driven by Daniel A. Caruso, 69, of Hopewell. Mr. Caruso’s car overturned as a result of the impact. Both drivers complained of neck pain and were taken to University Medical Center at Princeton for treatment.
   A Berkley Avenue resident reported Monday that his front lawn had been damaged overnight by a vehicle, causing ruts in the grass. Repair costs were estimated at $100.
West Windsor 
   Adam Kliewe, 24, of Hamilton was charged early Tuesday morning with possession of a controlled and dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was found to be in possession of under 50 grams of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Meadow Road and Canal Point Boulevard, police said. Mr. Kliewe was a passenger in the vehicle.
   Allen Ko, 25, of Monroe Township was charged with driving while intoxicated early Tuesday morning at the intersection of Village Road and North Post Road after he was observed driving 15 mph over the speed limit, police said.
   Lucinda Cole, 38, of Trenton was charged with theft by deception at Home Depot in Nassau Park shopping center, where she was a cashier. She is accused of keeping customers’ receipts and conducting five fraudulent returns between Aug. 29 and Sept. 16.
   Christopher Steibing, 28, of Robbinsville reported the theft of his Apple iPod Touch while at work Monday afternoon at McCaffrey’s supermarket on Princeton-Hightstown Road.
   Lamika Jones, 31, of Trenton was charged with shoplifting Tuesday evening at the Nassau Park shopping center Wal-Mart. She is accused of taking a $180 Singer sewing machine.
   Michael Prato, 26, of Ewing Township was charged Wednesday morning with shoplifting at the Wal-Mart at Nassau Park shopping center. He allegedly took a cordless phone and two DVD recorders, valued at $407 and attempted to return them for cash at the customer service desk.
   A theft of various pieces of jewelry through a pried-open window was reported Wednesday on Fairview Avenue. The incident is under investigation.
Plainsboro 
   A resident of Columbus reported the theft of a wallet from her bag during a function at Millstone Elementary School between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Oct. 3. The $40 wallet contained $1 in cash, an ATM card and credit cards. The credit cards were used to make purchases in East Windsor and Franklin township, police said.
   Owen J. Smith, 22, of Lawrence was charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of under 50 grams of marijuana after his Honda Civic was stopped on Bradford Lane about 11 p.m. Tuesday for a moving violation, police said. After the stop, a search turned up the marijuana, police said. He was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, careless driving and having improper safety glass. He was released pending a court appearance.
