Gloria Pessel Mack, 84,

Gloria Pessel Mack, 84, died Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Stonebridge at Montgomery.
 
Born in Adrian, Michigan, she lived in the Hopewell, Rocky Hill and Montgomery Township area most of her life. She helped establish the Mary Jacobs Memorial Library and was employed there for over 30 years until her retirement at age 81. She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Rocky Hill. 
 
Gloria was a loving and beloved member of her family and community, an avid reader, a plant and bird enthusiast who had a soft spot in her heart for all animals, large and small. Over the past few years, she was an involved and loved member of the retirement community at Stonebridge where she will be sorely missed by the many dear friends and the compassionate staff who touched her life there.
                                                       
Gloria was the wife of the late John Mack and grandmother of the late Lara Bunce, her beloved granddaughter who passed away recently in June 2008. She is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Margaret and Peter Mason of Los Angeles, CA, Frances Merritt of Lawrenceville, NJ, Kathleen Mack of Foster, RI, and Jennifer and Graham Bunce of Hampton, NH; five grandchildren, Margaret McNamara, Heather Morgan and her husband Reid, John Merritt, Kristina Zigler and her husband Chris, Kiley Bunce; and one great grandchild Spencer Zigler, as well as her two brothers and their wives, Thomas and Fran Pessel and William and Sara Pessel, six nephews and three nieces.
 
The funeral will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the First Reformed Church of Rocky Hill, corner of Washington St. and Route 518 in Rocky Hill. Burial will be in Rocky Hill Cemetery on Montgomery Avenue. Reception for friends and family will follow immediately at Stonebridge at Montgomery.
