Clark, Rossi go OT to advance in Princeton’s Greatest

Runners, football stars close out first round voting

It took an extra day of voting, but former tennis star Scott Clark and former swimming star Nina Rossi have advanced through the first round of the Princeton High’s All-Time Greatest Athlete contest. Both contests were tied on Tuesday, thus the extra day of voting to determine winners.
Clark garnered 59 percent of the vote to defeat former tennis star Mark Leshley in a first-round matchup. Rossi secured 65 percent of the vote for a victory over former Olympic diving champion Lesley Bush.
The last of the first-round head-to-head matchups are now underway, as former cross country star Karen Swartz takes on track and field star Sakira Backus in one matchup. The other contest will pit football and track great Paul Miles against football and track star Al Terry.
