South Brunswick Fraternal Order of Police Superior Officers Lodge 51 is pleased to announce the endorsement of Democrats Carol Barrett, Joe Camarota and Charles Carley for Township Council. The FOP carefully considered the records of all candidates and in our evaluation council members Barrett, Camarota and Carley will provide greater leadership for our township and for our police officers.
We will be proud to stand behind them on Election Day and stand with them over their next term in office. The candidates received the endorsement following a unanimous vote at the Lodge’s October meeting. Our 48 members are acquainted with the candidates’ records and we understand that council members Barrett, Camarota and Carley share a common perspective on the issues most important to our members.
The fact that our crime rate took a 24 percent dip and is at its lowest in years is no coincidence. It can be directly attributed to the leadership, partnership and support we receive from the council. They have consistently provided us with the resources we needed to get the job done while maintaining control over spending.
South Brunswick needs a council that will focus on protecting its citizens before anything else. Having worked with these members of council, we know that they have the best interests of South Brunswick at heart and will work tirelessly to make our community safer.
In the end, our organization believes council members Barrett, Camarota and Carley possess the right vision and experience for South Brunswick. Law enforcement officers need a council we can trust and work with. The FOP looks forward to working with council members Barrett, Camarota and Carley to make South Brunswick a safer and better place to live.
Capt. Harry J Delgado, President
FOP Lodge 51, South Brunswick
