FLORENCE — Antoinette G. (Toni) Carson, 85, of Florence, died Oct. 15 at Virtua Hospital in Mount Holly. Born in Jefferson, S.D. and raised in Sioux Falls, S.D., she also lived in Howard, S.D. and Tennessee. After moving to New Jersey she lived in Burlington Township and Bordentown before moving to Florence 21 years ago.
Mrs. Carson retired seven years ago as a senior clerk for the Department of the Treasury in Trenton after nearly 27 years of service. She was a member of St. Clare’s Church of Florence and its Altar and Rosary Society, the AARP, the Shriners Club and the Hamilton Township Chapter of Deborah Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, William H. Carson; two daughters, Elieen (Norman) Clough of Dover, Del., and Pamela (Terry) Roberts of Phoenix, Ariz., and two sons, William David (Karen) Carson of Philadelphia and Michael (Kathy) Carson of Hamilton Township. One of 16 brothers and sisters, she leaves her living siblings, Bonita, Arthur, Jerry, Patricia, Mary, June and Jack; also her 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Tuesday at the Dennison Funeral Home, Florence. Interment was in Doyle Veterans Memorial Cementery, North Hanover.
