Shapella has bipartisan approach

Carol Cavenaugh of West Amwell
I am a Republican voting to re-elect Ron Shapella for the West Amwell Township Committee.
For the past three years, Ron has consistently worked to keep taxes low and protect our rural community, and his efforts have paid off!
In spite of many attempts to diminish Ron’s efforts, I know first-hand how tirelessly he worked in leading the unified and successful township response when Trenton took more than $1,000,000 from our budget.
And I also firmly believe we need Ron on the committee to continue the fight to ensure that this does not happen again.
As a Republican, I am very inspired at Ron’s bipartisan approach to appointments within the township government. Ron Shapella appointed more Republicans than Democrats to the Planning Board, Zoning Board, Environmental Commission, Open Space Committee and other various committees.
As mayor in 2007, Mr. Shapella even appointed his opponent, Tom Molnar, to a position on the Planning Board.
I am saddened by the mudslinging and untruths being attributed to a man who has always put our township first and proved to be a unifying force.
I encourage every voter in West Amwell to not just buy in to all the rhetoric, but to evaluate the facts and make their own decision as to which candidate has the best track record of always putting the township’s well being at the forefront of all their governmental and political decisions.
