HILLSBOROUGH — Pumpkins painted by 27 Auten Road Intermediate School students will be displayed at Ambleside Gardens on Route 206, Saturday, after a school-wide pumpkin painting contest was held.
All students were invited to participate in the contest.
”We are quite excited about this event because it gives our students an excellent opportunity to display their creative talents,” Matt Hoffman, ARIS principal, said.
Before painting started each participant submitted a drawing on paper of the design they planned to use. The drawings were judged by the school’s Art Department and administration.
The first place winner will take home a $100 savings bond, the second place winner will receive a $50 saving bond and the third place winner will get a $25 savings bond.
All pumpkins will be displayed Saturday at Ambleside Gardens on Route 206 South, who co-sponsored the Pumpkin Painting Contest.
